Welcome to St Raphael’s Special School, please use the menus on the right-hand side of this page for information about our school.
The day-school was established in 1963 and is part of Saint John of God Kildare Services. We cater for pupils aged 5 to 18 years with moderate, severe and profound Intellectual Disability.
In addition to their core Intellectual Disability, St Raphael’s School provides for pupils presenting with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behaviours that challenge, physical disability and health needs.
We welcome pupils of all faiths and all ethnic groups. Applications are accepted from families, external agencies and mainstream schools in accordance with our Enrolment Policy.
Our catchment area covers Celbridge, Leixlip, Lucan South, Maynooth, Rathcoole, Newcastle, Sallins, Prosperous and Clane.
