St Raphael's School Difference Day

difference days

On 14 September 2018 St Raphael's Special School was transformed thanks to Pembroke Hall owners Thomas Lenehan and Robert Manson who teamed up with Denis O’Reilly to bring Difference Days to our school.  Pembroke Hall brought a team of about 100 staff and clients who helped transform and upgrade many of the outdoor areas in St Raphael’s School.  Have a look at the video to see what was done.

Pupils got a chance to meet exotic animals including an owl when the Animal Roadshow came into the school.  There were baking competitions and a breakfast club at Celbridge Manor Hotel.  A good time was had by all!

Drama

Sally the Sea Woman

Pupils in St Raphael's School attend weekly drama sessions run by Aisling Byrne, Educational Drama Practitioner.  The sessions in 2015-16 have been funded by a grant from Kildare County Council.

All of our pupils have the opportunity to take part in drama classes, dance and movement workshops, multi-sensory story sessions, and to take part in a performance at the end of the project.  Family and friends are welcome to attend the performances.  The main emphasis of the sessions is making sure each child fully benefits from and enjoys the experience of taking part.
