St Raphael's Green School
St Raphael's Special School is working to achieve the Green School Flag. Green-Schools, is an international environmental education programme and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.
The first phase for Schools working towards achieving their first Green Flag is Litter and Waste. We have set up a committee of staff and parents and a sub-committee of pupils. There is now a weekly litter patrol around the school grounds. All staff, pupils and families are encouraged to recycle as much as possible. A demonstration of the new recycling bins in school was made by our litter patrol pupils in the school assembly.
