What is a Developmental Delay?
This means that a child is developing slower than usual in one or more areas. For example it may mean that a child is not walking yet or isn’t using words at an age/stage when you would expect them to.
What is an Intellectual Disability?
This means that a child may have difficulty in learning. It may mean that the child learns differently and may need to repeat a task a number of times before they master it. He/she may need support to learn new skills.
